Welcome to the Funky Tree Woodworks blog!  My name is Jerry Stene, and here is some information on me and Funky Tree Woodworks.

Who am I?  I am recently retired from serving America’s Veterans at the Fargo VA Hospital.  I’m now doing what I’ve loved doing since I was very young—working with wood.  I’m not really a carpenter or builder—I don’t build houses, I don’t really like to remodel, although I’ve done lots of “honey do” projects.  I love designing and building something unique, making something old new again, or repurposing something you have into something totally different.  The question I get asked most is “What kind of things do you do?”  This blog site will show you some of my previous projects and also what I’m up to right now.  I welcome any questions or comments.  If I can be of service to you:  designing and building that unique piece or bringing new life and purpose to an existing piece, please contact me.  Thanks for checking out Funky Tree Woodworks.
